Where can I buy your music, and what stores stock your CD's? I'm still currently unsigned so you can't purchase my music in record stores. This seems to be the number one question we get asked and it's very frustrating for us as well as you. We were selling a 9 track demo CD "Elektradog" but it's completely sold out now. I hope to finish some new songs and put out a second demo CD at some point and yes, it will include "Can't Stop Dancing" and "Rated X".
Will you be playing live soon, and where? As I don't have a band I won't be doing any live gigs. Because of this I'm going to concentrate on writing more songs. I'm confident that one day I will do some live dates!
Who's in the band and who does what? Elektradog is a solo project. Mark writes, plays, sings and arranges all the tracks and Dave mixes the songs.
What equipment do you use? I use FruityLoops with lots of plugins for arranging, mixing and recording, a Yamaha 01X mixing desk/audio interface, Korg Triton synth, Baby Bottle Blue mic with a Focusrite voicemaster pro mic amp.
What comes first, music or lyrics? It's usually a piece of music first that I've finished, then I go through my book of scribbles, notes and ideas to see if there's anything in there that fits as a suggestion of what the song could be about. |
